Scuola Vita Nuova recently renewed it’s charter in conjunction with the University of Central Missouri and currently is sponsored through 2011. Located in northeast, Kansas City, Missouri, Scuola Vita Nuova Public Charter School serves 200 kindergarten through grade eight students.
The school’s core mission is to raise student achievement by immersing students in a Balanced Literacy and Outdoor education curriculum. Academic standards are met with hands-on, project-based learning experiences.

Our instructional program emphasizes the mastery of fundamental skills in reading, writing and mathematics and provides students with ongoing opportunities to apply these skills to a range of issues, topics and subjects. Technology, cooperative learning, critical thinking, and real-world application of knowledge are all essential components of the school’s core curriculum.
